Reminders: Hot lunch forms went home. If you would like to order, please send exact change with the order form. There is no school Monday, November 11, 2019 due to Remembrance Day. We have a new student teacher named Ms. Bishnoi. She will be with us during the month of November and will slowly start teaching some of the academic subjects.
Conference Booking:
Bookings open up on Thursday, November 14. Please book an appointment online as soon as it opens.
Math:
Students reviewed number concepts and completed an assessment. It will be marked and handed back to students by next week.
We will start mental math addition strategies next week.
Inquiry:
We began our inquiry with Ms. Leggo and Ms. Chaudhry. Our classes have been meeting, learning and collaborating in the Learning Commons. Our inquiry question is: How can we be global citizens educated our community to help improve the quality of life of children in India?
AMA the 4 different factors of quality of life (comfort, happiness, safety and health).
AMA how I felt about kids in the other parts of the world.
Language Arts:
AMA about words that have the "OW" and "TH" sounds.
AMA about the importance of Remembrance Day. We completed a dove wreath (see picture below) and presented it at the Remembrance Day Assembly.
